On November 11, 2021, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II visited His Excellency Mr. Riyad Haddad, Ambassador of Syria in Russia, at the Syrian Embassy in Moscow.His Holiness was accompanied by his Eminence Archbishop Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, Dr. Youssef Al-Youssef and Dr. Mehran Al-Hosh.His Excellency welcomed His Holiness and the accompanying delegation. He appreciated the role of His Holiness in promoting peace and bringing to the international fora the voice of the Syrian people who are suffering from the sanctions and other international decisions. In turn, His Holiness thanked His Excellency for his warm welcome and spoke about the current situation in Syria depicting the crises that are affecting the lives of the people. He emphasized the positive and important role of Russian in helping Syria.
