On March 2, 2022, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received His Excellency Mr. Fabio Vaz Pitaluga, Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil in Syria, at the Patriarchate Headquarters in Bab Touma, Damascus.Their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Boutros Kassis, Patriarchal Assistant and Patriarchal Delegate of the Archdiocese of Aleppo and Environs, and Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, were also present.During the meeting, His Holiness and His Excellency discussed the current situation in Syria, especially with the events taking place on the international level.
