On Tuesday April 5, 2022, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II visited Antioch Syrian University in Maarat Saydnaya to inspect the construction site of the new buildings on the campus. His Holiness was accompanied by their Eminences the Archbishops participating in the spiritual retreat. During the visit, the fathers listened to an explanation from Dr Rakan Razzouk, President of Antioch Syrian University, about the expansion of the campus to include new buildings that can accommodate the increasing number of students which is currently around 750 students and is expected to reach more than a thousand students and in preparation for the opening of two new faculties: Pharmacy and Dentistry.
