On May 16, 2022, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II presided over the opening prayer of the 12th General Assembly of the MECC at the main church of the Coptic Logos Center in Anba Bishoy Monastery – Egypt.The prayer was attended by their Holinesses Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, and Catholicos Aram, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, and their Beatitudes: Mor Ignatius Youssef III Younan, Syriac Catholic Patriarch of Antioch, Patriarch John X, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, Patriarch Youssef Absi, Greek Catholic Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, Patriarch Theodoros II, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Alexandria, Cardinal Mar Rafael Louis Sako, Patriarch of the Chaldeans and All Iraq, Patriarch Ibrahim Isaak, Coptic Catholic Patriarch of Alexandria, Patriarch Rafael Bedros XXI, Armenian Catholic Patriarch, Rev. Habib Badr, President of the MECC for the Evangelical Family of Churches, as well as other participants in the General Assembly.
