Inauguration of “Happy Child House” Kindergarten

On July 26, 2022, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II inaugurated the “Happy Child House” kindergarten in Old Damascus.

The inauguration was also attended by their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Dionysius John Kawak, Patriarchal Vicar for the Archdiocese of the Eastern United States of America, Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Archbishop of Homs, Hama, Tartous and Environs, Mor Maurice Amsih, Archbishop of Jazeera and Euphrates, Mor Anthimos Jack Yakoub, Patriarchal Vicar for Youth Affairs and Christian Education, Mor Boutros Kassis, Patriarchal Assistant and Patriarchal Delegate to the Archdiocese of Aleppo, Mor Cyril Babi, Patriarchal Vicar in the Patriarchal Archdiocese of Damascus, Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, and Very Rev. Fr. Patrick Sookhdeo, International Director of Barnabas Fund.

Happy Child House is a kindergarten that aims at educating the child and preparing him to transit from home and family to the outside world. It enables him to be integrated to school and teach him how to rely on himself. The Happy Child House is a kindergarten where the children build character and learn leadership; they also develop motor abilities and achieve various experiences and skills.

The Happy Child House was completed due to the generous support of Barnabas Fund.
