On December 4, 2022, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received His Excellency
Mr. Ali Abdulkarim Ali, Ambassador of Syria in Lebanon at the Patriarchal Residence in Atchaneh. The visit came on the occasion of the end of his diplomatic mission in Lebanon. He was accompanied by His Excellency Mr. Ali Doghman.
The meeting was attended by their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Archbishop of Homs, Hama, Tartous and Environs, and Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, and Mr. Ghassan Shami.
During the meeting, His Holiness spoke with His Excellency about the current situation in Lebanon and Syria.
