On February 25, 2023, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received the Syriac Catholic elected bishop of Homs, Hama and Nabak Msgr. Yacoub Mrad, at the Patriarchate Headquarters in Bab Touma – Damascus.
The meeting was attended by his Eminence Archbishop Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, and Very Rev. Raban Augeen Al-Khoury.
During the meeting, Msgr. Yacoub Mrad invited His Holiness to their episcopal consecration.
