On February 14, 2023, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received His Excellency Mr. Csaba Czibere, Charge d’Affaires of the Hungarian Embassy in Syria, at the Patriarchate Headquarters in Bab Touma, Damascus.
The meeting was also attended by his Eminence Archbishop Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.
During the meeting, His Holiness discussed with His Excellency the current situation following the earthquake that struck Turkey and Northern Syria. They spoke about the relief and rescue work that the Patriarchate is doing, especially in the city of Aleppo.
His Excellency also delivered a letter to His Holiness from Her Excellency Mrs. Katalin Novak, President of Hungary.
