On February 8, 2023, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II arrived to Aleppo to visit the victims of the earthquake that struck the city two days ago.
His Holiness was received by His Eminence Mor Boutros Kassis, Archbishop of Aleppo and Environs and was accompanied by his Eminence Archbishop Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.
Upon his arrival at Mor Aphrem Cathedral in Suleymaniyya, His Holiness offered a prayer of thanksgiving and asked the Lord to heal the wounded and injured and give rest to the souls of those who died during the earthquake.
He also inspected the services offered at the Archdiocesan Center.
