Visit to Mor Aphrem Monastery in Brasilia

On March 24, 2023, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II visited Mor Aphrem Monastery in Brasilia.

Their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Titus Boulos Touza, Apostolic Delegate for the Syriac Missions in Brazil, Mor Severius Malke Mourad, Patriarchal Vicar in Brazil, and Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, accompanied His Holiness during this visit.

His Holiness prayed the special services for the intercession of the Virgin Mary and the saints and blessed the faithful.

His Eminence Archbishop Mor Titus Boulos Touza welcomed His Holiness and the accompanying delegation, thanking him for this visit which will renew the spiritual life of many. He also introduced to him the new members of the community and described the ministry to the poor that is offered in the monastery.

His Holiness expressed his joy to be among the faithful who have accepted our Lord Jesus Christ and were baptized into the faith of the Syriac Orthodox Church. He spoke about the great ministry that we have to serve each others in Christ and to take care of the poor and needy. He appreciated the ministry offered by the church under the leadership of His Eminence Archbishop Mor Titus Boulos Touza and the clergy.
