On April 4, 2023, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received the Head of the High Evangelical Synod of Syria and Lebanon, Rev. Dr. Joseph Kassab, at Mor Aphrem Monastery in Maarat Saydnaya.
Rev. Boutros Zaour, Vice President of the High Evangelical Synod of Syria and Lebanon, accompanied Rev. Kassab in his visit.
The meeting was attended by their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Yacoub Babawi, Patriarchal Vicar for Monks Affairs and the Administration of Mor Aphrem Theological Seminary in Maarat Saydnaya, and Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Assistant.
During the meeting, His Holiness discussed with Rev. Dr. Kassab the current situation of the churches in Syria and the region.
