The gathering began with heartfelt greetings to His Holiness for the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ. The attendees shared the season’s joy and reflected on the miraculous birth of our Savior and its significance for the Church.
During the meeting, His Holiness engaged in meaningful discussions on pressing Church matters, focusing on the challenges Christians face in Syria and the broader Middle East.
The troubles of our brothers and sisters in these regions remain a central concern, and His Holiness mentioned the Church’s commitment to offering prayers, support, and encouragement for their well-being and safety.
After the brotherly meeting, Archbishop Kawak invited everyone to an agape meal in honor of His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II.
