On October 28, 2025, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received His Excellency Archbishop Georges Assadourian, Armenian Catholic Archbishop of Damascus, accompanied by Very Rev. Msgr. Georges Bahi, at the Patriarchal Headquarters in Bab Touma – Damascus.
The meeting was attended by their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Assistant, Mor Andrawos Bahhi, Patriarchal Vicar for Youth Affairs and Christian Education, and Mor Augeen Al-Khoury Nemat, Patriarchal Secretary.
During the meeting, His Holiness and His Excellency discussed matters related to the church and the current situation in Syria.
